Lake Caspe

After a long drive through the desert, we managed to find our out of the way campsite for the next few days at Lake Caspe. Definitely an oasis, with a large fishing lake which is (apparently) stocked with huge catfish which draws fisherman from across Europe. We were lucky enough to avoid these monster fish though, thank goodness. We had a shady pitch and the site is lovely with a fantastic swimming pool, so we basically spent 3 days chilling out. Abi met a lovely 8 year old girl English girl and her brother who befriended her and took her under her wing. It became Abi’s perfect holiday with lots of playing in the pool, on the playground and staying up late eating lollipops.

We ventured into the nearest town, Caspe, which was almost completely deserted apart from the standard old Spanish men drinking their way through Siesta time. So not a lot to do in the local area and it was time to head back to civilisation.

Abi’s favourite thing: making friends and hanging out with them
