Montcaret

We booked into a friendly little B and B in Montcaret after leaving Bergerac. https://www.dordognebandb.co.uk/ Run by an English couple who spoke little or no French, it was very cosy and comfortable, with a lovely swimming pool in their garden. The village itself had little of interest, but we were happy to hang out in the garden and relax with Abi. We ate out at a restaurant on the river and tried some French cuisine with mixed success.

The following night we had a drive around the area, but decided to have our dinner cooked by our hosts. Utilising the old pizza oven they had bought with the house ealier that year, Alan cooked up some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had. Smashing.Not the most exciting area of France, but very lovely.

It was time to head back to the coast, but which one…?
