Stress is no. 1 cause of long-term absence

For the first time, stress has been identified as the most common cause of long-term sickness absence. This is according to a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) survey. Public sector respondents identified organisational change and restructuring as the number one cause of stress at work.
